Former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder failed a drug test earlier today as the Hull City player tested positive for cocaine which is a banned substance, not just in sports but by British law.

Following his side’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last month, Livermore was brought in for a random drug test and the results which came in today showed that Livermore had cocaine in his system. Livermore has been suspended by Hull City who would be looking to ensure they avoid relegation this season.

The loss of Livermore would be a huge blow to the club and the player could also face legal charges for illegal use of cocaine.
