The England FA has ruled out any possibility of England facing the Super Eagles in a friendly this year.
The Federation president Amaju Pinnick had gone to London to meet FA chairman Greg Dyke, in the hope of securing a friendly with the Three Lions.
In a statement by the FA on its website, it stated that that was not going to happen.
‘’The discussions included reference to Mr Pinnick’s appreciation for English football and his desire to foster closer links between the NFF and The FA,’’ the statement read.
‘’Although there are no plans in the foreseeable future for a senior men’s international between England and Nigeria, it was agreed to keep dialogue open between the countries. ‘’
