The reelected president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter has thrown accusations in the direction of UEFA, accusing Europe’s football body of a hatred campaign against FIFA.
This week has been eventful for FIFA, with officials arrested on counts of money laundering, bribery and racketeering. The scandal though did not prevent Blatter from seeing of Prince Ali, who was the only contender for the presidency.
Platini said earlier this week that he had asked Blatter to step down as president and this has prompted the swiss to brand the actions of uefa as hate-mongering.
“It’s hatred, coming not only from one person at Uefa but the organisation of Uefa, who were not involved in 1998 when I became president,” he said, speaking to Swiss television’s RTS.
“I forgive everyone, but I do not forget.”
