Belgian Player Dies Of Cardiac Arrest After Collapsing During A Match

Tim Nicot was playing for his club, Wilrijk-Beerschot in the fourth tier of Belgian football when he collaped on the pitch on Saturday and he was declared dead earlier today.

Nicot collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was placed in a medically induced coma but on Monday afternoon, Nicot was declared dead as the cause of death was determined to be complications arising from a cardiac arrest which Nicot sufferd while playing on Saturday.

Nicot becomes the second Belgian player do die following a collapse on the pitch in two weeks after Gregory Mertens died about 12 days ago while playing in a reserve game.
