2015 Democracy Day: FG Declares Friday As Public Holiday

The Nigerian Government has announced Friday 29th May, 2015 as public holiday in order to mark the 2015 Democracy Day.

This was made known in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro.

The statement, which was signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, urged Nigerians at home and the Diaspora to support the incoming government and pray for the success of Nigeria’s democratic process.

The Minister further congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding to defeat and the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari on his electoral triumph.
