Sevilla Hold Barcelona To 2-2 Draw

Barcelona have lost a little momentum in their quest to win the la liga this season after losing out on the last day last season as a late Kevin Gameiro strike earned Sevilla a draw against the league leaders.

Barcelona were in control of the game from the start but struggled to create good openings until the 14th minute when Messi broke free after beating a defender and curled a wonderful; shot past Rico in the Sevilla goal to make it 1-0. Barcelona were on the ascendancy and in the 31st minute, Neymar made it 2-0 after the Brazilian curled a beautiful free kick into the corner of the net following a foul on Suarez. Eight minutes later, Sevilla reduced the deficit to 2-1 as Ever Banega struck a powerful drive form 30 yards and Bravo was unable to keep the ball out despite making some contact with the ball. Barcelona controlled the second half but never really showed any urgency in their play and in the 84th minute, they were punished as Alexis Vidal went into the Barcelona box on a surging run and moved the ball into the feet of Kevin Gameiro whose easy tap in secured a draw for Sevilla.

Barcelona now see their lead at the top of the la liga cut to two points with seven matches to go. Real Madrid would smell blood and you suspect that the race is on for the La liga title.
