The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba has advocated vigilance and urged Nigerians to report any suspected crimes information to the police as the country joins their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Good Friday and Easter holidays.
In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, yesterday, the IGP heartily felicitates with the Christian faithful and urged them to adopt the full significance of the resurrection of Christ.
Mr Abba further enjoined Nigerians to respect the diversities of the nation, soliciting their cooperation during the April 11 governorship elections.
The statement reads, “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba heartily felicitates with Christian faithful across the nation as they join other Christians in the world to celebrate the joyous and glorious moment of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“While urging Christians to learn and adopt the full significance of the resurrection of Christ and to open their hearts to issues of peace, forgiveness and harmonious co-existence, he enjoined all Nigerians to emulate the principles of the Easter season and to celebrate within the ambit of the law.
“The IGP enjoined Nigerians to respect the diversities of the nation. He also called on Nigerians for more cooperation with law enforcement and security agents as the country continues in the enthronement of democracy in the April 11th 2015 polls,” it stated.
