Nepal has suffered its deadliest earthquake in over 80 years.
The earthquake which hit the Asian country between the capital, Kathmandu, and the city of Pokhara, has reportedly killed over 1000 people.
The Minister of Information for Nepal gave a higher figure to the BBC, saying at least 1500 were fatalities of the incident.
The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.8, created avalanches in India, Bangladesh, Tibet and on Mount Everest, with a total of 56 reported deaths.
A state of emergency has been declared in the country, with various countries offering assistance.
