In the Izzi community of Ebonyi State, a man has been arrested by the Police as the nation gears up for tomorrow’s governorship elections nationwide.
The zone 6 command of the Nigerian Police Force arrested the man with over 800 Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) in his possession.
The office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police said it was informed around Easter Sunday of the illegal possessions of PVCs in the Izzi Community, upon which further actions were taken leading to the arrest.
In a statement from the Police Command, the suspects attempted to escape upon seeing the police. Daily Post reports that the Police arrested one Madueke Sunday, 31; an indigene of the Izzi Community in the raid. He was in possession of a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag containing PVCs.
The AIG has ordered a strict investigation into this, with the impression that more suspects will be brought to book.
