Liverpool Remove Balotelli From POTY Voting Process

Liverpool have removed Balotelli’s name from the voting process for their 2014/2015 player of the year award after the voting process was hijacked by fans of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Manchester United and Arsenal fans had taken to twitter and started a movement with the hashtag #VoteBalotelli with the aim of sabotaging Liverpool’s voting process, electing Mario Balotelli who has been in terrible form with the Award of Liverpool player of the year. The movement reportedly gathered some momentum and Balotelli was in the race to win the award. Liverpool needed to act and act, they did. Mario Balotelli’s name was removed from the voting options thereby nullifying any previous vote for the player and effectively killing off any opportunity he had at winning the award
