Ligue 1 To Use Goal Line Technology Next Season

The French football top division, popularly called the Ligue 1 is set to follow in the footsteps of the premiership as they join the Serie A and Bundesliga in implementing the use of goalline technology from the 2015/2016 season.

The French Football League board met earlier today to discuss the plans for next season and one of the issues debated upon was the use of goal line technology. After its successful debut at the World cup, the use of goal line technology has become the best means of settling scoring disputes among teams.

With France joining England and Germany, it wouldn’t be long before other European leagues and leagues around the world begin the use of goal line technology
