Japanese striker Yoshinori Muto has been given an April 12 deadline to consider an offer from Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Muto made major sporting headlines this week when he was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
But while the two clubs agreed on a transfer fee worth close to $6 million several weeks ago, the player himself has been asked to make what could be a career-defining decision in the next three days.
Muto is expected to announce his intentions as early as Sunday night following Tokyo’s league fixture at Shonan Bellmare.
According to the Guardian Muto is expected to be immediately loaned to Eredivisie side Vitesse for the whole of next season.
