Ali Modu Sheriff has been summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and is billed to appear before the anti-graft commission in Abuja on Thursday.
According to reports from Premium Times, he is to respond to allegations of “misappropriation, embezzlement of funds and abuse of office while he was governor”.
If he fails to show up as directed he would be declared wanted and arrested on site, sources have said.
Also, detectives are already on his trail watching his every movement.
It has been gathered that the allegations against the first governor of Borno State are related to the ₦300 billion his administration received from the federation account from 2003 to 2011.
