For all the critics who said Chelsea don’t know how to build players from the youth level, Chelsea have set out to answer you guys. The under-18s of the West London Blues picked up the FA Youth Cup trophy for the second time in two seasons after beating Manchester City under 18s 5-2 on aggregate to win the trophy
This victory is coming barely three weeks after the Chelsea under-19s side picked up the UEFA youth league trophy in commanding style too. The Chelsea youth side has been consistent all season and would feel like they truly deserve this trophy. For a club whose last youth star to break out ind become a regular first team player was John Terry, this is a step in the right direction as Abramovich reportedly invested heavily in youth development over the last few years.
With the level of their performances, it wouldn’t be long before we see one or two of these youngsters strutting their stuff for Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League
