Josep Bartomeu, Barcelona President, has said he would like it if Messi stays at the club till he retires.

The Argentine forward has been with the Catalans since he was 13. He has won six Liga titles, three Champions Leagues and two Club World Cups with the team, plus four Ballon d’Or individually. He is also their top all-time scorer.

A legend really. Though there were speculations surrounding the Barcelona man about leaving the club when he had problems with coach, Louis Enrique, that’s all behind them now and Bartomeu insists he would like if Messi stays at the club.

“We work with a leader like Messi, who is the best in the world, but also in history.” he told RMC. “He has a place here until he decides to quit football.”

Is staying in a place and breaking records the way to go for this grade A phenomenon of football?
