Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben suffered a season-ending injury after tearing a muscle during Bayern’s German Cup loss to Borrusia Dortmund.

Striker Robert Lewandowski also broke his upper jaw and nose in the match, and suffered a concussion.

Bayern subsequently confirmed that Robben had sustained a tear in his left calf muscle, ruling him out of the Barcelona game, and the rest of this season.

Lewandowski, meanwhile, was hurt in a clash with the Dortmund keeper Mitch Langerak and was taken to hospital.

Bayern Munich face Barcelona on the 6th of May in their UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg clash.
