Robin Thicke & Pharrell Williams To Appeal Judge Decision

share on:

Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams have revealed their decision to appeal a jury decision to pay the family of Marvin Gaye.

The artistes had been found guilty for ripping Marvin Gaye‘s Got To Give It To You in their hit song Blurred Lines, and were asked to pay the family over $7 million.

According to their attorney Howard King, the ruling sets a dangerous precedent.

“We owe it to song writers around the world to make sure this verdict doesn’t stand. My clients know that they wrote the song ‘Blurred Lines’ from their hearts and souls and no other source… We are going to exercise every post trial remedy we have to make sure this verdict does not stand.”
