share on:

Nigerian authorities have ordered the reopening of its land borders from 12 noon on Sunday after Saturday’s voting, Premium Times report.

Despite the continuation of voting in some parts of the country on Sunday, the Immigration Service asked the Federal Government to reopen the land borders which were closed on Friday for security reasons and to prevent non-citizen from voting.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration David Parradang said the reopening is necessitated to allow activities resume at the borders, as it will not affect the ongoing voting process.
