Nigeria: Tension Ensues As Lawsuits Seeking Buhari’s Disqualification Hold Today

Nigerians basked in the aura of frenzied anxiety as the suits seeking the disqualification of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, comes up for hearing at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday.

It was learnt that no fewer than 10 suits are seeking Mr. Buhari’s disqualification from the race on different grounds.

However, all have now been consolidated for a hearing since they are all seeking equal relief.

The Judge in charge of the trial, Justice Adeniyi Ademola had on March 19 adjourned hearing on the suit which sees Mr. Buhari, the APC and INEC listed as first, second and third defendants, respectively to March 24.
