It was time for Gucci’s new creative director Alessandro Michele to give a first impression on the runway at the Milan Fashion Week which started on the 25th of February. The designer showcased a collection on the first day which He tagged –The Contemporary is Untimely for Autumn/ Winter 2015.
The models strut the runway in clothes that had a vintage feel to it, flower girl dresses and seventies inspired pantsuits. The collection featured accordion-pleat skirts, in soft leather and optical-print Lurex, extremely sheer pieces and feminine dresses in tapestry and flowered prints and ruffles. We also see coats in mink, low sung trousers, and elaborate embroideries on knitwear.
The highlight of the presentation was the eye catching accessories, weird and funky loafers with fur trimmings, stripy flats with fur edges, chain sling bags made with snakeskin.
