Manchester City are rumored to be rapidly losing patience with manager Manuel Pellegrini, and a number of names have been swirling as to his replacement.
Their first choice target is rumored to be Pep Guardiola, but the Bayern manager has distanced himself from the job.
“Manchester City? I hope to stay at Bayern Munich for a long time,” he said.
“I have a contract with this wonderful club and aim to fulfil that. I have not received any offers.
“We will see what happens after next year. I am very happy at Bayern.”
Following Guardiola’s rebuff, the team have reportedly turned their eyes to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti has a get-out clause in his contract at the Bernabeu and Europan champions Real have yet to offer him an extension to his current deal, which expires next year.
