Kendrick Lamar recently announced the March 23 release date for his next album, the hugely-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
While the album was recently rumoured to be titled Untitled as shown on its preorder page on iTunes, Rolling Stone reports that the album will be titled To Pimp a Butterfly. Kendrick also added more info by posting the following album art on his Instagram account, saying “Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl sh*t stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream ni**a….” -lil Homie.”
It’s not yet confirmed, but given the “Parental Advisory” tag and this tweet from TDE label boss Anthony Tiffith, it’s very possible that it’s the album’s artwork.
