Liverpool defender, Martin Skrtel appeared to have stamped his foot on Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea in the closing stages of the heated clash between Manchester United and Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon and the Slovakian center back has been charged by the English FA
Martin Skrtel was running onto a long ball in injury time a Liverpool who were down to ten men chased the game. De Gea got to the ball ahead of Skrtel and collapsed to the field with the ball before he was stamped by Skrtel. The referee however didn’t see the incident and Skrtel was not reprimanded despite a fight threatening to break out between De Gea and Skrtel before Valencia came inbetween both players.
Skrtel has 24 hours to respond to the FA’s charge before and official investigation would be launches into the incidence.
