share on:

In what is becoming a yearly fixture, Multichoice has yet again increased the prices of their DSTV bouquets.

The increase sees DSTV family rise from N3000 to N3600, while the DSTV premium rises to N13,980 from N11,650.

The price increments will take effect from 1st of April, 2015.

What do you think? Are the prices fair?

  1. This is because we have a “lame” regulator called Nigerian Broadcasting Commission”, NBC. Even though we get less value from DSTV, they are allowed to increase price at will (which is now a yearly ritual) without any form of control by the NBC. This is just the same as every other thing in Nigeria. Our government have failed us!

    1. Well done DSTV, so I get to pay almost 14K to watch your repetition programmes???!!!!! Thank God movies are still sold in CDs and DVD players are very affordable, you can keep your repetition programmes to yourselves

  2. I guess we have a government agency by name Consumer Protection Agency. If nothing is done I suggest people forget about any subscription renewal and let DSTV watch their programmes alone.

  3. This is a very wicked decision. You may want to argue that it is a free world, but I can assure you that the Masses will one day rise above your wickedness and foolish decision. You further added your own to the nonsense going on in the Country. It is not your fault but the blame goes straight to the very corrupt and inept leadership in this Country, who have nothing to give back to the society. They have stolen so much and care less for the very people that took them to power, yet they don’t want our vices to be heard, by manipulating the electoral system to favour themselves and their cronies. They have polluted the society so much that DSTV have become power and law unto itself. This is a clarion call to the our People, let us fight this battle ourselves, our government cannot protect us against this vampires, let us mobilize and do something.

  4. I think it’s because they don’t have competition, if a credible company doing the same can come in and humble them like they did MTN in those days, they will think twice before making outrageous decisions. Funny how it is the same country that own both companies. This is where I think Consumer Protection Council should come in

  5. It is just a pity that dstv feels they can do what they like due to the poor government we have, they can as well pack up and leave

  6. They really need a strong competition, let better cable networks with great shows come in so we would see if they won’t think twice

  7. This is pure greed. its very sad that we have an insensitive government. What are the regulation agencies doing? Or have they collected bribe as usual. God help us.

  8. DSTV NEEDS TO FACE STIFF PENALTIES FOR THIS
WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS MEANINGLESS, SELFISH AND STUPID
    WHERE IS THE CONTROL?
BY THIS TIME NEXT YEAR I AM CERTAIN ITS GON BE 20K
    JUST STUPID!!!!!!

  9. just buy data and stream live matches DSTV can go to dust. you get to watch matches and browse as an added advantage.. watch to matches at a time if you like without paying for extraview
