It’s almost show time! The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards is on Saturday 7th March 2015 and the event is set to honor the best films and characters for the year.
We’ve tried make a few early calls of what we expect to see some stars wearing on one of the biggest nights and while the anticipation is high on who will win what, the fashionable fans have their eyes fixed on the red carpet.
Trends aren’t really the point – opportunities are and this is another opportunity for some stars to make a mark and we will be on the look out for these fashionable moments.
Here are five trends that I predict might be a big win!
For the ladies, we envision a lot of thigh high slits on the red carpet. This is a trend that has been popular for a few seasons now so don’t be surprised to find a large number of celebrities rocking this trend.
This year’s Hollywood awards season saw a lot of sheer dresses. A number of celebrities including Rita Ora, Gigi Hadhi, Irina Shayk and Jennifer Lopez stunned gorgeous dresses with sheer panels, some of which were straight off the runway and I wishfully predict that a number of Nigerian celebrities will pick up this trend for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Capes arehaving a fashion moment and celebrities like Solange Knowles, Katy Perry, Cameron Diaz and lots more have been spotted wearing this trendy design detail. I can already picture Stephanie Coker trying this striking trend.
THE COLOR WHITE
White has been huge this season — it’s fresh, youthful, easy to wear, and frankly looks great against a red carpet. I can’t tell you which celebrity will show up wearing white but I am certain that a couple of them will choose this cool colour.
BLUE SUITS FOR THE GUYS
Will the men show up at the AMVCA wearing a black suit? Maybe most of them will but bluehas been a trend for the more adventourous guys this awards season and I’m sure a couple of Nollywood men will jump on this trend. Please gentlemen if you do this, kindly make sure you go for a fit that works for you.
