Every Wednesday I get super excited because I put out a post for you guys. For the last 2 months, we have been discussing a lot of home remedies, and this week we will be discussing the home remedies for acne.
I previously did a post on acne, but home remedies were not included. All I did was give tips on toning, moisturizing and exfoliating. I also listed fruits your skin loves the most. See the full post here
This time, we are strictly discussing home remedies. Here are 7 home remedies for acne:
1)Orange peel & Water
The acidic property and high vitamin c from an orange make it a good remedy for acne. Orange juice a s well as the peel are useful in battling acne but the peels are more effective.
2)Honey & Lemon
3)Strawberry & Honey
Strawberries contain salicylic acid-a primary ingredient in many commercial acne treatments- encourages the epidermis to shed its cells more readily, opening up clogged pores, and neutralizing bacteria.
Simply mash up strawberries, but ensure you do not over mash so it is not runny(Also, extract seeds). Then mix with two-third the quantity of mashed strawberries and thoroughly blend them together.
4)Garlic & Aloe Vera
Garlic is very useful because of its high antibacterial property. You can either extract the juice from the garlic, dilute with clean water. Then dab on a cotton wool and apply to the affected area. Leave on for about 10-15 minutes then rinse off
Totally off topic, but am I the only one who has never heard a real life story of someone slipping because of a banana peel left carelessly on the ground?
Okay, so a lot of people do not know this but banana peels contain something called lutein, an extremely powerful antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation, and encourages healthy cell growth.
This is the fastest home remedy for acne I know. Apply small amount of your toothpaste on the affected area only before you go to bed then rinse off in the morning. Results should be visible after 2-3 nights.
7)Lemon & Water
