Three students of the Bayero University, Kano were expelled this week for raping a female student. The three students who have been named as Abdulsalam Abduljalil, Tijjani Mohammed and William Seyi Solanke, all 300 level students of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, allegedly raped a female student outside one of the female hostels where she was reading.
The head, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR), Hajiya Fatima Binta Mohammed, said in the university’s current bulletin that management had approved the expulsion of the students for criminal conspiracy, threat to life and rape. The management has directed that the result of the three students be withheld.
