Ronaldo Moves Into Third On Real Madrid’s All-time Scorers List

Following his strike against Elche in the La liga yesterday, Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo moved in to third place in the clubs all time scorers list.

Ronaldo scored the second in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Elche, and the goal was his 290th for the club as the three time Ballon D’Or winner overtook Real Madrid legend, Carlos Santilla and put himself third behind Alfredo Di Stephano and Raul Gonzalez. Real Madrid had claimed that Ronaldo had banged in his 290th against Shalke in the champions league but La Liga awarded a goal Real Credited to Cristiano Ronaldo to Pepe, putting the Portuguese back at 289 until yesterday.

Ronaldo’s 290th strike put the former Manchester United forward 15 goals behind Di Stephano and 33 Behind Raul, it would be unwise to bet against Ronaldo to already be Real Madrid’s top scorer by this time next year, barring an injury.

Ronaldo still holds the best goals to game ratio among Real Madrid’s top scorers with his 290 goals coming in just 281 matches.
