Cristiano Ronaldo ended his goal drought as the he struck in the first half before Marcelo’s wonder strike ensured that Real Madrid claimed the victory on the night.

Real Madrid have now equaled Bayern Munich’s record of 10 straight wins in the Champions league and have a chance to surpass it when they take on Shalke in two weeks’ time in Madrid.
