The sixth day of the New York Fashion week was one of the more highly anticipated days as Oscar de la Renta was showing for the first time since the founding creative director passed on.
It was time for Peter Copping, Oscar’s handpicked replacement as creative director, to make a first impression on the runway and with the Fall 2015 collection, it was obvious that Copping and Oscar speak the same language.
The collection consisted of ballgowns, coat dresses, cocktail dresses, skirt suits, and surprisingly a number of major gowns. The pieces were made from unlined lace, sheer materials, fur and embroidered floralS. Graphic prints in black, white and red on separates and coats of day while rich red, pink, blue and gold feature for evening.
It was indeed a graceful start for Copping as he take s on the de la Renta legacy.
