Nigerians In Trouble As UAE Introduces Age Restriction For Visa

Report reaching us here suggests that the United Arab Emirates has placed an age limit on Nigerians traveling to their home ground.

The statement according to NewsWire publication reads:

Please be informed that the UAE immigrations has placed an age restriction on the below nationals:

For Nigerians, please note the following:

*Single Ladies / Men travelling alone should be 40 years old and above.

*Married women travelling with children should be above 40 years old.

*Ladies / Men who are less than 40 years old will be allowed to travel if accompanied by someone who is above 40 and bears the same surname with them.

All visa applications are subject to approval. Once applied, full charges are applicable.

*In order to clear a file from the system, a cancellation charge of AED 110will be applicable should a request be rejected by the immigration department.

*For Moroccans, Algerians, Libyans, Mauritanians and Tunisians nationality, minimum age requirement is 40 to apply the visa.

*For the rest of the nationalities, minimum age requirement to apply the visa is 21 years old for men and 23 years old for women

  1. You may have seen the message above about Dubai visa restrictions for Nigerians.

    There has been some modification with the visa process and fees but Nigerians have not been restricted from visa issuance. this info is false.

    There are two types of visas that are issued for Nigerians;
    1. Tourist visa – valid for 2 months and allowed 14 days entry into the U.A.E. This type of visa can be extended for 14 more days while in the U.A.E at an additional cost
    2. The service visa which is a 14 days visa with 14 days validity and a maximum stay of 14 days in the U.A.E and cannot be extended.

    Pls note that visas are still being issued for Nigerians and the type of visa issued is at the discretion of the U.A.E immigration.
