London Fashion Week Day 1 – Duro Olowu Autumn/Winter 15

London Fashion Week started on Friday, the 20th of February and Nigerian born London-based designer Duro Olowu presented his Autumn/Winter collection inspired by the Fauvist painter Kees van Dongen.

The collection features his signature capes, bold colors and mixed prints which included florals, checks and polka dots.  Silhouettes include A-line and full skirts made with classic black lace and silk taffeta fabric and kimono style jackets and coats layered over the familiar tea length dresses.  For evening, pastel brocade with a metallic sheen is cut into a billowing floor length dress and a smart skirt suit,
