Nigeria’s Brown Ideye was the hero of the day as West Brom produced a scintillating performance to blow past West Ham in their FA Cup 4th round fixture.
Ideye scored two goals for the Baggies, and goals from James Morrison and Saido Berahino completed a 4-0 rout.
Ideye opened the scoring in the 20th minute with his 3rd goal in as many game, with Morrison’s stunner putting West Brom 2-0 up at the break.
A 57th-minute header from Ideye completed his brace and all but sealed the game, and Berahino made sure there would be no comeback of any sort.
“Right now I am very happy for the team and for myself for the two goals today,” Ideye told BT Sport. “As you can see we were on top of the game from the goalkeeper to the attack.”
“I am very happy here so I just have to keep working hard. We just have to enjoy every game and if we continue like this I know we will do very well.”
