Valentine’s day is around the corner, and I am genuinely not excited about it. I think love is…., I honestly don’t know what I think of love. Basically, I have had my fair share of
assholes bad relationships. I would however be sharing 2 different scenarios today. Let me know your thoughts.
I was once in a relationship where the guy didn’t tell me he loved me for 6 months. 3 months into the relationship I was googling questions like “How long does it take a man to fall in love?” “When is the appropriate time to say I love you?” “How do you know if he loves you?” and others like those because I was too embarrassed to talk about it with my friends.
That relationship ended after 6 months, Of course he never said it and I never brought it up or asked why.
I met another guy later on, and after 2 months of meeting him and 2 weeks of consistent dates. He told me “He loved me”. He didn’t text it or say “Love you”, he said “I love you”, and not in the “I am just saying it so I can sleep with you way”, he said it in the “You are my soulmate kinda way”
I immediately stopped taking his phone calls, replying his texts and basically just started avoiding him because I was honestly freaked out. That went to shit also 😀
The reason for all this long story, is I am wondering if there is an appropriate time to say the 3 magic words, I love you.
This article is not for those people who just throw the words around like water, the ones that say it 1 day after meeting the chic. EEW/Inyama to you people by the way.
So, what are your thoughts? Am I over-thinking it? Are the magic words “I Love You” overrated?
