Erstwhile governor of Lagos state and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has implored members of the opposition party to begin aggressive campaigns at the grassroots, so as to ensure the party is victorious in the general elections.
During the APC stakeholders meeting held on Wednesday, February 18, at the party secretariat in Acme, Lagos, Tinubu instructed that ward meetings should now be held on a regular basis, especially because of the election postponement.
Tinubu said: “We have to restrategise; all of you should go back to your various constituencies starting from tomorrow.”
The APC leader also enjoined residents of Lagos to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and to also secure them, adding that it would determine their future.
Speaking further, Tinubu party urged the party supporters not to be apprehensive, assuring them that the party was going to do well in the elections.
“Go ahead and campaign for APC because this party has indeed worked for the people,” Tinubu added.
