The following is a documentary telling the power story since the commencement of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
It highlights the major activities in regards to the privatization of the power sector. As well as the current achievement of various entities of the power sector.
The video also shows the progress being made with the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP).
NIPP comprises 10 thermal power plants located throughout southern Nigeria. Of the 10 NIPP plants, 2 have been commissioned by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Another aspect this documentary highlights is the diversification of the energy sources. Currently, power plants in Nigeria are powered by thermal or hydro energy. Other sources have now been researched or implemented such as solar, biomass, coal and wind.
The future looks bright for the power sector, and more Nigerians will soon have steady power supply.
