AFCON 2015: Ivory Coast Overcome DR Congo To Reach Final

A 3-1 for Ivory Coast over DR Congo saw the clinch a place in the final of the 2015 African Cup Of Nations.

Yaya Toure kicked off proceedings in class in the 20th minute, powering in a volley that according to CAF, reached a speed of 125km/hr.

DR Congo didn’t let the goal bring them down, and 3 minutes later the scores were tied thanks to Dieumerci Mbokani‘s strike from the penalty spot.

AS Roma striker Gervinho made it 2-1 before the break, and a second half goal from Wilfried Kanon all but sealed the deal.

Ivory Coast will meet the winner of the tie between Equatorial Guinea and Ghana in the Final.
