A taskforce set up by FIFA has recommended that the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar should hold in November.

Summer temperatures in Qatar could exceed 40 degrees celsius, prompting health concerns for players and fans alike.

Taskforce chief Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa also recommended that the 2022 tournament should be shortened by a few days.

FIFA’s executive committee is expected to agree to the decision when they meet in Zurich on 19 and 20 March.
