Why Is No One Marching For Baga? Hollywood Actors Ask

share on:

Hollywood actors, Marlon Wayans and Boris Kodjoe are asking why no one is marching for Nigeria, in response to 1.5 million people including 40 world leaders marching in support of the 17 people killed in Paris by terrorists.

Over the course of at least a week, more than 2000 people have been reported killed by Boko Haram in Baga town of Borno State, Nigeria. In a picture of burned, dead bodies, Boris Kodjoe wrote;

The killing of 17 victims in 3 despicable terrorist acts this week prompted a unity march of 1.5 million people including 40 world leaders in Paris. Well done.
Maybe it’s just me but did anyone else hear about Nigeria? 2000 civilians including women and children were massacred by terrorists this week.
Can somebody tell me why nobody is marching for those victims? Any world leaders planning a trip to Lagos or Abuja this week? Too busy? Bad flight connections?
Just asking. Imagine the statement we could make.

While comedian Marlon Wayans wrote;

As we pray for the 17 victims in Paris let’s not forget about the 2,000 massacred in Nigeria. This type of terrorism must end. #myheartisheavy #prayfornigeria#prayforworldpeace#theystillhaventbroughtourgirlsback

The presidency has still not issued a statement concerning the killings.
