Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has been named the best young player of the year in the ongoing Glo CAF Awards. The Rivers Angels’ forward has also been named Women’s player  of the year.

Oshoala whose heroics at the under-20 women’s World Cup would not be quickly forgotten, overcame competition from Annette Ngo Ndom and Desire Oparanozie to be named the Female African footballer of the year.

At just 20 years of age, Oshoala could go on to be the flag bearer for Women’s football in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. The sky is indeed her limit
