Reports reaching us suggest that the National Association of Nigerian Students [NANS], Ondo Joint Campus Committee Axis, has agreed to support President Goodluck Jonathan as its candidate for next month’s election.
It was learnt that the students reached the conclusion after a meeting of its leaders in the South-West Zone, held at the Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA) on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Presidents of Student Union Governments of the institutions in the zone, Ondo JCC Chairman Odunayo Kowe, NANS Southwest Zone D Treasurer, and the Vice President NANS, [National Affairs] Timilehin Ayenuro.
The students argued that they were supporting Jonathan for a second term for his key achievements in the education sector.
