Manchester City Fall Two Points Behind In Title Race, Draw At Everton

Manchester City were unable to surmount the hurdle that was Everton today despite welcoming back Sergio Aguero from an injury lay off as Naismith’s header pegged back Manchester City.

Manchester City were without Yaya Toure, who is currently in camp with The Ivory Coast but were able to dominate a very tight game in the first half despite. Silva dominated the nidfield an created chances but Manchester city could not convert them. In the second half, Manchester City continued to look for an opening and found the breakthrough in the 74th minute after Silva broke free in the box and had his shot helped into the net by Fernandinho. Four minutes later, Everton were on level terms as Baines launched in a free kick and Naismith got to the ball ahead of Hart to make it 1-1.

Manchester City are now two points behind Chelsea who recorded a 2-0 win over Newcastle United today and are now back in the chase for the lead.
