Jake Gyllenhaal eyed as Tom Hardy Drops Out of SUICIDE SQUAD

Just when people had come to settle down with the actors listed to take the lead in the upcoming David Ayer movie Suicide Squad, News that Tom Hardy has dropped out of the project surfaces. According to Variety, the actor had to drop out of the project due to a tight schedule as he currently working on a Western picture The Revenant, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, and he is expected to partake in the publicity/marketing events for the release of Mad Max: Fury Road.

With Hardy out of the project The Wrap reports that Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be the man the studio is currently looking at to replace him. While i can’t picture Jake taking on the role of Rick Flag, i can’t help but ignore the fact that he’s a good actor and might turn out to be a really good choice if he gets selected.

As of now, Suicide Squad will still co-star Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne and has an August 5, 2016, release date.
