Borussia Mochengladbach’s sporting director, Max Eberl is not a fan of Bayern Munich’s transfer policy. He hit out at the bavarians who have a knack for signing young players. He believes the Munich club and
Bundesliga giant should give the youngsters time to develop in their boyhood clubs before snatching them up.
The Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich recently announced the signing of Stuttgart youngster, Joshua Kimmich after bringing in players such as Sinan Kurt and Mitchell Weiser from Mochengladbach and Köln respectively.
“I’m not sure whether it actually benefits German football when you sign up promising youngsters before they are ready,” Eberl told Rheinischen Post.
“Young players could also make a name for themselves elsewhere before making the move to Bayern.
“That way, other clubs would also benefit from it, with bigger transfer fees finding their way to the clubs behind Bayern.”
