Bradford Manager Explains Why He Ignored Jose Mourinho’s Handshake

share on:

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had approached Bradford manager Phil Parkinson for a handshake before the match was over, and Parkinson turned him down.

Parkinson revealed that he snubbed the handshake because there was still over 3 minutes left to go in the shock 4-2 upset.

“Mourinho came over to shake hands,” Parkinson said.

“But at that point there were still three and a half minutes left and I wasn’t getting drawn into that.”

The pair eventually shook hands afterwards in the Bradford dressing room.
