Bolasie Rescues Point For Congo Against Zambia

share on:

Zambia looked to be running away with all three points in their Group B opener at the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea before The Crystal Palace winger struck to ensure that the points were shared.

Zambia were in front as early as the 2nd minute as Given Singuluma fired in from just outside the area after the some excellent quick play by the Zambians. DR Congo searched for an equalizer all through the first half but their strikers were too profligate and it wasn’t until the second half that Yannick Bolasie was picked out by an excellent pass and the winger smashed the ball into the corner to make it one all.

Both teams would look to take maximum points from their next set of games.
