Big Move: Oshoala Joins Liverpool

English FA Women’s super League champions, Liverpool Ladies have signed the African Women’s footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala from Rivers Angels.

The Merseyside Red female side beat off competition for a few other teams to secure her signature. Matt Beard, Manager of the Liverpool ladies spoke highly of the Nigerian forward who was part of the Super Falcons team that conquered Africa last year in Namibia. “Since I began my football career I have always dreamt of being a professional footballer, so to be able to join the reigning Women’s Super League champions is absolutely fantastic,” Oshoala said in her first conference as a Liverpool player.

It would be exciting to watch Oshoala in a Liverpool jersey both in the FAWSL and the WUEFA Champions league.
