AFCON 2015: Mali Out After Guinea Win Draw Of Lots

share on:

After Guinea and Mali finished level on points, goals scored and goals conceded in the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea, the qualification of both teams went to a draw of lots which Guinea won.

After three consecutive one all draws, and official from Mali pulled the first lot which condemned his country to third in the group while the official from Guinea drew the ball that confirmed that his country would go through in second place behind the Ivory Coast who beat Cameroon to pick up an automatic ticket.

Just like the Malian official said, World football must find a way to solve the problem of group qualification without drawing of lots.

  1. Stupid decision from uneducated Afcon leaders between Mali vs Guinea.Football is not all about lucky on the table but it’s all about showing talents and scoring goals in the field. You are the dirty negative people~ you the Afcon leaders.
