AFCON 2015: Ghana Beat South Africa 2-1 To Qualify For Quarter-Finals

Ghana made an impressive comeback after going behind to South Africa in Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea to Beat their South African counterparts and pick up a qualification spot from Group C and continue their quest for the AFCON trophy.

Masango gave South Africa the lead with an increadible Volley that lopped over the Ghanaian goalkeeper in the 17th minute. The rest of the first half was devoid of genuine goal mouth action and passed by quite uneventfully. In the second half, Ayew and Gyan looked to impress themselves more on the game and the Ghanians came alive and in the 73rd minute, John Boye was found in space and he knocked the ball past Khuzwayo to make it 1-1. Ghana continued to press for a winner and Andre Ayew was on hand to head the ball home in the 83rd minute and Ghana held on to qualify.

Ghana joined Algeria as the teams that march on from Group C into the next round of the AFCON.
