According to reports, the acting Governor of Taraba State, Mr. Sanni Danladi, has vowed to recover all funds allegedly stolen from the purse of the state government by former political office holders.

Danladi’s made this decision known as members of the People’s Democratic Party in Taraba State have blamed the National Working Committee of the party for not holding any of the primaries for any of the elective positions in the state.

He also vowed that he’ll work tirelessly to recover all monies and properties that were illegally taken away from the state.

Danladi, who spoke in a state-wide broadcast in Jalingo on Today, expressed dismay at the present financial situation of the state which as stated by him, has made it impossible for the government to foot the salary bills of civil servants.

He said that he was not satisfied with the way and manner the finances of the state was ruined by the sacked administration and challenged the civil servants and the people of the state at large to brace up for a hard time ahead.

He said ” I want to sound a note of warning to all, especially, Civil Servants that there are challenges in the state. We need to brace up for hard times. The situation has gone so bad that the Banks were no longer ready to continue giving us loans and overdrafts.”
